Our Love for Riverdale Estate is no more an unknown quantity and we are back to what we do best. And that is to make great coffees.
For this process, Ripened cherries are hand-picked and are then triple washed in natural spring water and all the defective beans and floaters are then picked up. For this unique process, the cherries are fermented in a no-oxygen environment where the temperature is maintained at 5 degrees all throughout the process. Liquid spice has been used to infuse into the fermentation after 2 days. Once the fermentation is complete coffee cherries are dried in a raised bed for 10 days in full sun and 20 days in part-shade until the moisture reaches 12%. Coffees are constantly moved on the bed for even drying. Coffee is then rested in grain pro bags for 4 weeks.
With the floral aroma of Orchid and crisp acidity of Passionfruit and Cherry, this coffee is a fruit party with an absolute clean cup ( no funky or boozy ), sweet, rich and creamy body of Butterscotch that makes an absolute stunner.
